We’re looking for a versatile full-stack developer, proficient with Node.js and experienced with Typescript.
You will join a team that builds and maintains a robust and fast, cloud-based platform in the FinTech space using the latest technologies.
Your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, interaction with different storage technologies, writing and maintaining tests, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements; therefore, a good understanding of front-end technologies would be a great plus.
On the technical side, the team leverages technology like Typescript, node, .net, DynamoDB, GitHub Actions, SST (Serverless stack), Lambda functions, Micro-services, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, and DataDog to build all these cool systems.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
· Build and deliver high-quality, performant frontend and backend code.
· Collaborate with user experience designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver new features, enhancements, platform improvements, and bug fixes.
· Collaborate with other engineers to write testable, reliable code, continuously deploying to production systems.
· Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and product development.
· Contribute to the career development of other engineers, using methodologies like pair programming to up-level and teach.
· Deploy and monitor a large-scale distributed system.
· Analyze and optimize application/platform code and/or APIs for efficiency and performance.
· Lead hands-on implementation on work to keep current with technology trends.
YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING:
· 5+ years of work experience in development with Node.JS and Typescript.
· The typical problem-solving and algorithmic experience that one expects in any software engineering role.
· Strong experience in one or more of the following technologies with a strong desire and ability to expand your skill set: Typescript, Node, JavaScript, .Net, and AWS platform.
· Experience working with a developer portal and external facing APIs is a big plus.
· Experience building RESTful APIs and working with databases.
· Understanding of large-scale web applications (clustering, scalability, caching, performance tuning).
· Understanding of agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and agile engineering practices like Test-Driven Development, Continuous integration, and other Extreme programming practices.
· Proficient in Elastic Search, Kong Gateway, GraphQL, Kafka, and Docker.
· Collaboration and consensus-building as patterns for problem-solving.
